Whereas, in the providence of God. He has brought to a close the life of Bro. Eddie B. Barnes, the officers and members of the Holland Grove Baptist Church feel that it is befitting to express our sympathy to the family and our beloved members: his wife, Sis. Joann Barnes; his sister Sis Mae Barnes and daughter, Sis. Betty White
Whereas, God in His infinite wisdom and love for his own, ended the suffering of your beloved husband, brother and father, he has been called into a new and better life. Bor. Barnes’ life has not been in vain. His life has filled its place in this world and will always fill a place in your heart and memories. At last his soul is safe with the Heavenly father to dwell throughout eternity.
Be it Resolved, that we bow in humble submission to God who never makes a mistake and remind the family to be encouraged by remembering this poem.
When I must leave you for a little while Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die.
