Freedom!!! We have been delivered from the bondage of the enemy! We no longer are bound by satans influence. We have a new mission in the will of God. In many historical battles, soldiers were deemed ‘delivers of freedom’. Many died to provide it for others. Yet many whom they died for, were so use to the bondage, they unknowingly remained in the same condition by choice. Deliverance only works, if you receive it. If someone sends you a package, and you send it back, it’s stamped “delivery rejected” You won’t get what’s in the package unless you take ownership of it. How many times has God tried to send His Spirit that brings liberty, and been rejected? God is sending His Spirit, all we have to do is accept the delivery.

There is a blessing that God has for every one of His children that will cause you to rise out of lack into abundance! It will take you from barely getting by to living in overflow. It brings supernatural increase! We were never created to drag through life constantly struggling. If we’re going to receive His blessings, we have to come into agreement with His Word in our minds, hearts and actions.

This commanded blessing is found in Deuteronomy 28. It tells us that if we will live a life that honors God and obey His Word, then all these blessings will chase us down and overtake us. It says that you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. God will open up to you His good treasury and cause you to lend and not borrow. He will make you plenteous in goods and give you a surplus of increase.

Today, let this truth sink down into your spirit: the Creator of the universe has commanded blessing upon you. Receive it today and choose to walk in complete obedience to Him!

Do you want to experience more of God’s blessing in your life? Living in obedience and integrity is the key that unlocks the door to His abundance. When you put God and His Word first place in your life, the Bible says you’ll be blessed in the city and in the country—you’ll be blessed wherever you go!

This chapter in the Bible goes on to say that you will be so blessed that you will lend and not borrow. Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance?

See, God doesn’t want you to be living with a barely-get-by attitude. We don’t serve a barely-get-by God; our God is more than enough! He wants you to have more than enough to meet your needs and be a blessing to the people around you.

I encourage you today to make room in your life for the blessing of God. Choose to live in obedience to His Word. Choose to follow His commands. As you do, you will rise up higher and live the abundant life God has for you!

Especially a car, the way they’re made today, if we try an unlock them we end up causing damage. Solution, call a professional, who can gain access without making things worse. It’s funny, some things only God can unlock in our lives, without causing damage! When we try to do it,we make it worse! God doesn’t just opens what was locked, He destroys the very lock that tried to hold hostage that He has for us! Jesus is the key to every situation in our lives, nothings beyond His reach. He can turn what appears to be impossible into easy and give us peace through it all! If we were locked out of our cars, we’d call for help right? All of us need to gain access to some things the enemy is trying to hold hostage.

God has grace in store for you every single day. Grace is His supernatural empowerment, His unmerited favor on your life. All throughout scripture, we see God giving daily grace, empowerment and provision to His people. For example, when the people of Israel were in the wilderness headed toward the Promised Land, God gave them manna each morning to eat. It would just appear on the ground. But, He specifically instructed them to gather up only enough for one day’s supply. In fact, if they got more than that, it wouldn’t last. It would spoil. They were learning to trust God’s grace every single day.

In the same way, God doesn’t give us grace for a year at a time or even a month at a time. No, every 24 hours God has a fresh, new supply of grace, favor, wisdom and forgiveness. How are you going to make it through the seasons of your life? One day at a time. Look for His grace today. Look for His provision today. Look for His hand of favor and blessing today because He promises to supply everything you need for today.

In the Bible, David was called a man after God’s own heart. He knew God and saw incredible miracles throughout his life. But notice in this verse what David did. He set the tone for His whole day by spending time with the Lord every morning. It didn’t matter what was going on his life, David had his priorities set. Even though he was mistreated by his family, manipulated, made fun of, hunted down by King Saul, and even made some major mistakes on his own, David realized that each morning held the promise of new hope.

Just like David, if you’ll make spending time with God a priority in your life, you will see Him move mightily on your behalf. Make it a habit to seek Him first every single day. No matter what is happening, seek Him in the morning. Let Him set the tone for your day and set you on the course for victory in every area of your life!

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”
(Isaiah 40:31, NIV).

Do you need your strength renewed today? The scripture tells us that when we hope in the Lord, that’s exactly what will happen—our strength will be renewed. If you’ve grown weary and tired, overwhelmed by the cares of this world, it’s a clear sign that you need to change what you’re putting your hope in. Are you putting your hope in your job? The government? The economy? Another person? Those are all things that will change. But when you hope in the Lord, you are investing in the Rock of Ages! He never changes! He is the only solid foundation for your soul.

Today, find strength by simply putting your hope in Him. Start by declaring out loud, “God, I place my hope in You. I trust that You are working behind the scenes in my life. I choose to rest in You.” Then, feed your hope and faith by meditating daily on the scriptures. As you renew your mind with the Word of God, you’ll find strength, you’ll find hope, and you’ll find His victory all the days of your life!

Whereas, in the providence of God. He has brought to a close the life of Bro. Eddie B. Barnes, the officers and members of the Holland Grove Baptist Church feel that it is befitting to express our sympathy to the family and our beloved members: his wife, Sis. Joann Barnes; his sister Sis Mae Barnes and daughter, Sis. Betty White

Whereas, God in His infinite wisdom and love for his own, ended the suffering of your beloved husband, brother and father, he has been called into a new and better life. Bor. Barnes’ life has not been in vain. His life has filled its place in this world and will always fill a place in your heart and memories. At last his soul is safe with the Heavenly father to dwell throughout eternity.

Be it Resolved, that we bow in humble submission to God who never makes a mistake and remind the family to be encouraged by remembering this poem.

When I must leave you for a little while

Please do not grieve and shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you through the years.

But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

And for my sake and in my name

Live on and do all things the same.

Feed not your loneliness on empty days,

But fill each waking hour in useful ways,

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer

And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;

And never, never be afraid to die.

For I am waiting for you in the sky!

We’ve put on the whole armor, but now it’s time to use the sword against the enemy! God has given us everything we need to stand, that means we must learn to use our weapon with expertise! When we pick up that sword are we picking it up with the authority that Jesus have given us, or are we hoping that the enemy will just go away? “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass’ he shall have whatsoever he saith”(Mark 11:23) Satan loves it when we don’t recognize or use the authority given to us by Christ. He likes for us to be timid with the word and ask him to go instead of telling him to go. Asking gives him a choice, but when the authority of God kicks in he has none! We have to trust God and stand on His word, without wavering. The sword is a weapon of offense, not retreat. We can’t just start fighting when our flesh is under attack, that means we fight from a defensive position. If we attack our flesh first with the sword of the Spirit, we gained ground against the enemy. To effectively use this weapon we must first trust the truth in God’s word and know that the authority He has given us is real!

What happens when fire touches gold? All the impurities are burned out, leaving one of the most precious metals in the world. The hotter the fire, the purer the gold, and the higher the value. What happens when fiery trials hit our life? They reveal all the impurities and weaknesses, but they also strengthen us! Things may have happened this year that we thought we’d never survive, but God brought us through. Gold doesn’t get pure alone, it takes someone who knows how to, hold back just enough fire, at just the right temperature in order to get the greatest results. The Lord will never allow the fire to consume us. “And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counselors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.5 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” (Dan 3:23-25) No trial feels good, we may not even see the good in it, but we have to trust that the Lord will bring us through it. Remember, Jesus is in the midst of the fire with us, allowing His breeze of peace to keep us from losing our minds! In case of fire stop, drop to your knees and pray!

21So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls. 22But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. 23For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; 24For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. 25But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience). 26If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religious service is worthless (futile, barren).
It’s not just what we hear, it’s more important what we do, with what we hear. It’s like going to the doctor for treatment, he gives us instructions writes a prescription, but we never get it filled. It’s about our follow through in the area of obedience. Putting the word of God into action in our lives, is what causes us to mature. God has given us the liberty to make our choices based on His word. The enemy seeks to talk us out of our liberty in Christ Jesus! He seeks to steal the word(by distraction, etc.) so we won’t be able to apply it. Our effectiveness isn’t based on what we say, it’s in how we live for Jesus each day.

[Colossians 3:12-14]
”Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness”

How many times have we heard someone say “You can pick your friends but you can’t pick your family” All of us have probably had a moment that we wished we could unpick some family members, right? As children of God we are to be sensible, peacemakers in the family. If the church is made up of family members, then every now and then, we may have a family disagreement. The difference should be that we love, forgive and move on. Not, stop talking to each other, working together, talk about the other person, or leave the church and stop going all together. Whatever we run from, will follow us until we learn to deal with it God’s way. People can move away from family, but if their issues with family are unresolved, they’ll resurface again. Some of the deepest wounds in our hearts are usually a result from breaches in close relationships (marriage, family, church family, friends). Those rifts can be painful, but God’s grace can take us through the pain and allow us to heal and learn to love and trust again. It’s funny, the people we try to hold on to, God may say let go, and the one’s we want to cut out He may say hold on. We just have to commit every relationship to His hands and wait on His direction. No matter the hurt, His love is a soothing balm, that can heal the wounded heart so that the root of bitterness won’t have room to set in.
Psalm 147:3 “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds”

It was a privilege for our church to host our Third Annual Sister Reaching Sister Fellowship Women’s Conference on May 29-30, 2010. We have received many reports from various participants about how God enriched their lives through this conference. We give God the Glory for great things that He has done for us. While we rejoice in His goodness to us, we must be mindful of the responsibility which He place on us. Alexander MacLaren said,” Ability involves responsibility.”

The officials of Holland Grove, as well as the members take this opportunity to say ‘thanks” to all the great motivational speakers and the participants from surrounding churches in making the conference such a success.

With Paul we acknowledge, “Who is equal to such a task?” (2 Cor. 2:16). However, with him we can also say, “….my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4: 19). We can truly say that God met all of our needs.

Again, thanks for a marvelous Conference. We were blessed by your presence.
